Carvão em Brasa Music Festival — Award-Winning Microfestival in Funchal

Carvão em Brasa is a small but mighty music festival that turns Quinta Magnólia in Funchal into an open-air stage for a night of live bands and DJ sets — proof that a festival doesn't need to be huge to leave a mark. Organized by Estúdio 21 – Associação Cultural e Social das Ilhas, it's grown into one of Madeira's most talked-about cultural events, recognized as a National Winner at the Iberian Festival Awards for its hospitality and audience experience, with eight nominations at the 2026 edition of the same awards. Entry is free, and the festival has built a reputation for its relaxed, welcoming vibe — mixing emerging local acts with more established names on one lineup.
