Cherry Festival
The Cherry Festival in Câmara de Lobos is a vibrant celebration of Madeira’s cherry harvest, where the town fills with colour, music, and the scent of fresh fruit. At its heart are locally grown cherry varieties — including the large Norberto type, adapted to the island’s climate — showcased in market stalls and festive displays throughout the event. Parades, live music, and street entertainment bring the town to life, while visitors can taste seasonal specialities, including the traditional ginjinha, a sweet liqueur made from Morello cherries. A small local festival with big flavour — celebrating one of Madeira’s most loved summer fruits in the most joyful way.
Activities run throughout the day in Jardim da Serra, starting late morning, with the main entertainment taking place in the afternoon and evening
