Arraial do Mundo

For five days, Funchal's historic centre turns into an open-air stage for traditional dance and music. Regional, national, and international folklore groups perform across the Largo do Colégio, the Church of Imaculado Coração de Maria, and the Jardim Municipal auditorium, with a street parade (arruada) linking Largo do Colégio to Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias.
