Ginja & Gastronomy Festival — Curral das Freiras

The 4th Ginja & Gastronomy Show brings together the best of Curral das Freiras' local flavours and traditions, celebrating ginja (Madeira's famous sour cherry liqueur) in perfect harmony with regional gastronomy.

Set against the dramatic mountain scenery of Curral das Freiras, the festival features local food, tastings and cultural entertainment, making it one of the best food festivals in Madeira for discovering authentic island produce and traditions.

Friday, July 25

18:00 – Folk group: Associação Refúgio da Freira

18:30 – SOULICOR Workshop "From Tree to Bottle" (welcome ginja liqueur offered)

19:00 – String ensemble of Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras

19:30 – Chocolate & ginja showcooking by UAUCACAU

20:00 – Performance by the Choir of Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras

20:30 – Craft ginja beer by "A Pesquita" (official launch)

21:00 – Entertainment group "As Tutti Frutti" (Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras)

21:30 – 2nd "Ao Sabor da Ginja" Despique Encounter, with Roberto Jardim & Octávio Vieira

23:00 – Live music by Gaudium Music (tastings offered to all attendees of the featured creations)
