Grape and Farmer Festival (Festa da Uva e do Agricultor) – Porto da Cruz

One of Madeira's most authentic harvest celebrations, the Grape and Farmer Festival transforms Porto da Cruz—often called the island's "land of wine"—into a lively showcase of rural traditions, local agriculture, and winemaking culture. The festival combines grape harvest season festivities with an ethnographic parade celebrating the customs of Porto da Cruz, alongside food stalls, local wine, agricultural exhibits, and live music throughout the weekend. Unlike the more famous harvest event in Estreito, this festival focuses on the people behind the vineyards, creating a warm village atmosphere where visitors can experience the agricultural heart of Madeira while enjoying one of the island's most charming wine-growing communities.
