International Youth Day – Beach Sports, E-Sports & Sunset Party

One beach, one whole day, zero excuses to stay home. Funchal turns Praia de São Tiago into a playground for International Youth Day, and it's packed from noon straight through to sunset.

Start the afternoon soaked: hop on a boat-towed water sofa, bounce on the aquatic trampoline, try a Seascooter, paddle out on a SUP board, snorkel the bay, or just slide straight into the sea. If gaming's more your speed, duck into the E-Sports tent for competitive FIFA and Rally tournaments on proper simulator rigs.

As the sun dips, the energy shifts — head to Barreirinha Bar Café for the Sunset Session, where DJ Oxy takes over for a golden-hour set right on the water. Free entry, all ages welcome, and no ticket needed. Just show up.
