Mountain Bike Madeira Meeting
A week of mountain biking across Madeira, blending epic trails with local culture, water sports and an Enduro Series finale.
Taking place November 8–15, 2026, the 12th edition of Mountain Bike Madeira Meeting is built around one goal: promoting mountain biking while getting to know Madeira. The parish of Seixal, on the north coast, is the meeting point to start the week, with the event based in Porto Moniz. The one-week itinerary includes visits to various locations around the island, water sports, themed workshops, and plenty of fun and socializing. Off the bike, the week also makes room for Madeira's culture, heritage and typical cuisine.
Every day brings a different landscape — panoramic mountain tracks and trails in dense forests running between the mountains and the sea — with riders shuttled between trails to keep the focus on the ride itself. On the final day, participants can take part in a round of the Madeira Enduro Series.
The event is built around the enduro MTB center at Fanal, located in the most protected area of the island, part of the Laurissilva forest and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, developed in partnership with Commencal Bikes.
Programme (Fanal MTB Center — six courses):
One cross-country / trail course on the Fanal plateau, with panoramic views — designed as a warm-up ride An enduro circuit with five distinct trails through the heart of the Laurissilva forest
All trails are signposted, with points of interest along the way including the specific flora and fauna of the Laurissilva forest.
