MusAntiqFest 2026: Early Music Festival in Funchal, Madeira
Three nights, three line-ups, three centuries of music. The 7th edition of MusAntiqFest (Festival de Música Antiga) opens on Thursday and runs through the weekend at the Salão Nobre of Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias in Funchal.
The festival travels from the Renaissance to the Baroque, from voice to lute, from harpsichord to guitar. Each evening has its own theme, and you can buy a ticket for a single concert or a pass for all three.
What to expect
Three evenings of early music in the Salão Nobre, each built around its own theme: the rhetoric of the affects in Baroque Europe, a journey from the Renaissance to Seixas, and the melancholic spirit of Renaissance music.
