Regional Fig, Prickly Pear and Honey Fair in Fajã da Ovelha, Madeira

The Regional Fig, Prickly Pear and Honey Fair (Mostra Regional do Figo, Tabaibo e Mel) takes place in the parish of Fajã da Ovelha, in the municipality of Calheta. Organized by Casa do Povo da Fajã da Ovelha, the event highlights the characteristic products of the parish, including prickly pears, figs and honey, through gastronomic tastings, cooking demonstrations and traditional confectionery workshops. The program also features producer stalls, exhibitors, thematic talks on cultivation and local production, live entertainment with folk and traditional music groups, and food and drink stalls. The fair takes place at the sports ground next to the Fajã da Ovelha parish church.
