Saxophone Days — Final Concert of the Saxophone Orchestra Residency

A full saxophone orchestra takes the stage at Fórum Machico, Madeira — the closing concert of "Saxophone Days" (Dias do Saxofone), the island's first saxophone orchestra residency. After four days of intensive rehearsals, young saxophonists from Madeira and mainland Portugal perform together under the direction of José Magalhães.

The concert features acclaimed Portuguese jazz saxophonist João Mortágua as guest soloist, with a special appearance by Francisco Andrade. A rare chance to hear the rich, layered sound of an entire orchestra of saxophones — from soprano to baritone — live on the island.
