Festival do Atum & Frutos do Mar – Caniçal

The Tuna, Skipjack and Seafood Festival in Caniçal is a traditional fishing village celebration focused on Madeira’s tuna and skipjack fishing culture, combined with local seafood, food stalls, and evening entertainment.

Held in the coastal village of Caniçal, the event highlights the region’s maritime identity with freshly prepared seafood dishes, informal music performances, and a relaxed community atmosphere that reflects everyday life in one of Madeira’s key fishing areas.

It is best experienced in the evening when food stalls and live music create the main festival atmosphere.
