Ultra Madeira (Banana da Madeira) 2026
Ultra Madeira – Banana da Madeira is a coast-to-coast trail running event that crosses the island of Madeira from west to east. The route starts at the Ponta do Pargo lighthouse and finishes in the centre of Caniçal village, passing through the island's most emblematic landmarks: Paul da Serra plateau, Bica da Cana, Encumeada, the Laurisilva forest, Pico do Areeiro, Poço da Neve and the coastal trails above Boca do Risco.
The event offers five distances for different levels:
Ultra Madeira – 92 km, +4570 m / –4795 m, max. time 24h — €75
Ultra 55K – 55 km, +3010 m / –3800 m, max. time 17h — €55
Trail 30K – 30 km, +1360 m / –1360 m, max. time 8h — €35
Trail 15K – 15,4 km, +340 m / –920 m, max. time 5h — €25
Mini Trail – 8 km, +290 m / –390 m, max. time 2h — €15
Minimum age is 20 for Ultra Madeira, Ultra 55K and Trail 30K, and 16 for Trail 15K and Mini Trail. The maximum participation age is 75.
