ABBA Symphonic – Madeira Classical Orchestra

Dancing Queen never sounded like this. As part of Funchal's City Day celebrations, the Madeira Classical Orchestra teams up with Serbia's acclaimed ABBA Real Tribute band for one night only, fusing full orchestral sound with the costumes, choreography and unmistakable energy of a real ABBA show.

Conducted by Mikica Jevtić — resident conductor of the Serbian National Theatre's Opera Orchestra, making his fourth appearance with the Madeira orchestra — and directed artistically by violinist Norberto Gomes, the concert takes the audience through 19 of the band's most iconic songs, reworked into full symphonic arrangements.

Expect a festive, high-energy atmosphere building to a triumphant finale, all under the open sky at Santa Catarina Park.
