Caminhada Comunitária de Campanário a Curral das Freiras (Romaria a Pé)

Every year, walkers set out from Campanário on a scenic trail to Curral das Freiras, following the historic Vereda da Achada path through Madeira's mountainous interior. Along the way, participants pass through Boca dos Namorados, one of the island's most striking viewpoints, before descending into the valley village of Curral das Freiras.

The walk combines physical challenge with community spirit — hikers stop for a shared snack and social gathering at Boca dos Namorados, then enjoy lunch together once they reach Curral das Freiras. A return bus brings everyone back to Campanário at the end of the day.
