FNAC Photo Marathon Madeira 2026 — Ribeira Brava Photo Route
Part of FNAC's nationwide "Maratonas Fotográficas," this edition marks 200 years of photography and stops in Madeira on the final leg of the 2026 tour. Participants follow a set route through Ribeira Brava, photographing five set subthemes — from photography's origins to its digital future — with any camera, from vintage film to smartphone.
The route passes some of the area's landmark spots: Miradouro do Espigão, the Sagrada Família chapel-viewpoint in São Paulo, the Rally Vinho Madeira service park on Avenida Sá Carneiro, the Ribeira Brava Ethnographic Museum and the historic village centre.
Entries are judged by a panel of three professional photographers (Diana Tinoco, José Goulão, Marisa Cardoso).
Winner receives a €600 FNAC gift card plus an exhibition at a FNAC Fórum store; runner-up gets €150 plus the same exhibition.
