Da Laurissilva ao Cosmos — Exposição de Fotografia de Diogo Gualter

Madeira's ancient Laurissilva forest and the vastness of the cosmos meet in this photography exhibition by local artist Diogo Gualter.

Held at Galeria A2, inside the Centro Cultural e de Investigação do Funchal (CCIF), the show brings together images captured across the island that draw a visual line between the dense green world of the laurel forest and the star-filled sky above it — including striking night shots of the Milky Way and even a comet over Madeira's peaks.

Diogo Gualter is a photographer from the parish of Boa Ventura, whose work blends his connection to Madeira's nature with a strong interest in astronomy, revealing the beauty and fine detail of both the natural world and the night sky.
