Organized by AARAM (Associação de Atletismo da Região Autónoma da Madeira), this vertical race is a must for trail running enthusiasts looking to test themselves against one of the island's most iconic ascents.

Route
Starting at Calhau de São Jorge on Madeira's north coast, the route climbs through Tranquada, Rocha Branca, Igreja da Ilha, and Lombada do Meio, before reaching the ridge near Encumeada Alta and the final ascent to the summit of Pico Ruivo — the roof of Madeira Island.
Race Day Schedule
- 7:30 AM – Meeting point for transfer at Achada do Teixeira parking area
- 7:45 AM – Transfer to Calhau de São Jorge
- 8:30 AM – Runner check-in
- 8:45 AM – Race briefing
- 9:00 AM – Race start
- 1:00 PM – Finish time limit
Mandatory Equipment
Runners must carry: race bib, backpack, minimum 1L water capacity, waterproof jacket, thermal blanket, whistle, working mobile phone, emergency food supply, and a reusable cup (min. 15 cl).
