Trans Madeira 2026 – Corrida de Mountain Bike

Trans Madeira returns this autumn with a six-day enduro race that crosses the island from Machico in the east to Calheta in the west. Riders will tackle around 220 km of trails spread across more than 30 special stages, riding through some of Madeira's most varied mountain terrain — from high mountain trails down to the coast.

The event runs on a "Bike Camp Experience" format: participants camp each night in locations chosen for their scenic beauty as the race moves across the island.

The race package covers accommodation, meals, luggage transfers between camps, on-island transportation, and stage timing, so riders can focus on the trails rather than logistics.

Participation is limited to 140 riders, and on average only about 7% of entrants are professional racers — the event is built for riders of mixed levels, not just elites. E-bikes are not permitted.
