Exposição Waterline

The Natural History Museum of Funchal hosts "Waterline," an exhibition by artist and graphic designer Gonçalo Gomes presenting exclusive video and photographic images of the marine biodiversity of the Madeira archipelago.

Built around new technologies, the exhibition uses underwater footage and photography to reveal ecosystems ranging from tide pools to the open sea. Gomes, a Funchal native with a degree in Design from the University of Madeira, represented Portugal at the 2021 Underwater Video World Championship. The exhibition supports the Museum's mission of promoting marine life awareness and encouraging the conservation and preservation of marine ecosystems.
